: Three piece tailored long sleeved gown. Bodice buttons up front with painted mother of pearl buttons. Deep “V” neck draped collar. Tiny false pocket on left side of overdress with real, larger pocket on right. Bow detail on rear sides of over-dress. Satin band on bottom of over-dress above skirt pleating. Worn by Alice Kane when she married John McDonald in the late 1870s in Salt Lake City. The McDonalds and two of Alice’s brothers moved to Lemhi County in the early 1880s.
